Sitting beneath the shadow of grace I find such sweet rest in You, Lord Jesus. Grant me the patience to wait for the delight of coming home and finding refuge in the branches of the tree of life. Jesus, You are the glory and the power. You are the branch that I cling to. As Your redeemed, I have been given such glorious sight. Forever my gaze is fixed upon the horizon of eternity. Forever I will look upon the One whom my soul loves. As I sit in the shadow of Your wings, let me taste the fruit of the Spirit. Sustain me with joy, gentleness, kindness, hope, peace and love. May my weakest moments not cause my soul to turn brittle, Lord. For those called by Your Name draw sap that brings life, moisture that quenches and fruitfulness that produces harvest. Grow my admiration, my Lord, as one abiding in the vine should grow. There is no greater delight than to be handled, planted, pruned and watered by the Spirit of the Lord now and forever more. Under the mighty Word of God in Galatians 5:22-23 and the authority of Christ Jesus I bow in humble prayer.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
