Today’s Prayer

LORD of the heart, Keeper of the soul, let out ears be tuned to Your tender voice. The world’s mandates betray Your people as we are led into enemy territory. Your children are surrounded by accusations. Let us not be defeated with words of hate. Love is taken away as loneliness attacks. In return for love, there is only criticism. In return for love, there is often disappointment. Let us run only to You, Jesus. Let us run to where only You can be found, our LORD and Savior. On bended knee I place my broken, aching heart into Your hands. I trust in Your plan, my LORD, even though the way before me seems treacherous and filled with pain. Help me to feel Your presence. Let me be strong enough to follow Your guidance. Let me fight the battle to keep my heart alive in You. Put the enemy to shame, our LORD Jesus. Silence his accusations against those You love. May those closest to You be vessels for Your truth and not soldiers for the enemy’s lies. I am weak. I need the strength of love. Your love is holy and pure. Only You can deliver Your chosen to a place of righteousness. Only Your hands are strong and mighty. Only You can carry Your disciples in their weaknesses. I long for Your tender caresses. I strain to hear Your sweet words of encouragement. My heart fades away for lack of nourishment. My body grows weary while my soul withers to nothing. Please find the lost with Your love, LORD. We are nothing without it. You are my all in all. My life is sustained only in You, Jesus. Only You make my heart beat, O God. Only You light up my soul. Under the Word of the Lord in John 14:1 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in Me.
John 14:1, NIV
