My heart is restless. My soul is clouded in confusion. A storm rises up inside of me, stealing peace and squelching joy. Only You can calm the storm, Jesus. Only You can make the clouds dissipate with the truth of Your Word. Only You can soothe my restless heart with Your steadfast love. Teach me to keep my eyes fixed on You, Jesus, though the wind of worry and the waves of woe distract me. Let me walk on water as You lead me to Your heart. Your heart is my safe harbor. Your heart shelters me from harm. In You can I find rest. Rest me from this sin-stained world. Rest me from my own failings. Rest me from longing for Your presence. Let me be assured that I am cleansed by Your sacrifice. Let me fully receive Your grace, O God. Let me know that You are always with me, nearer to me in the storm than I could even fathom. Holy Spirit, keep me afloat in this sea of doubt and confusion. For it is Your will that helps me navigate through the waters. It is Your grace, O LORD, that blows wind into my sails, directing me to the other shore. So I will wait upon the LORD. So I will trust in His ways. I will keep my gaze on Jesus until the storm passes. Until I reach the shores of peace and contentment and love in Christ, I will wait. Though the journey is treacherous, though the storm rages, I will not turn back, for my LORD is waiting for me on the other shore. Under the Word of the Lord in John 16:33 and in His mighty authority I pray.

I have told you these things so you may have peace in Me. In the world you will have much trouble. But take hope! I have power over the world!”
