The immeasurable wonder of Your understanding astounds the simplicity of my ignorant soul, God. Even with the faith You have given me, I see only in part. My soul longs for the transitional day when I will see in whole because I will be with You in paradise. My God, Your tender counsel in the dark nights keeps my heart facing the light of Your goodness. Only Your Holy Spirit can impart wisdom to usher in heavenly perspective regarding earthly woes. There is no sorrow that heaven’s balm cannot heal. Though the world around me seems shallow with indifference, the depth of Your compassionate heart is my refuge. Your ways are not my ways, but they are for the benefit of Your beloved. Your creative hands, the very ones that knit my heart together in the womb, will pick up each piece that has been shattered by life’s unexpected blows. You put together what the world has torn apart, Lord. Your greatness is unfathomable. Your presence is my delight. I live to glory in You, my sovereign King. Under the Word of truth put down in 1 Corinthians 13:11-12 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
1 Corinthians 13:11-12, ESV
Your presence is my delight–Amen!
