Father, let my passionate faith rekindle the embers of love I have toward You. You have said that the greatest commandment is loving You with a totality of my being. Let it be so through my shared devotion in Christ. Make my heart soar with ardent praise whenever my awareness of Your presence is heightened. Your beauty takes my breath away, Lord. Your majesty leaves me in awe of You. Who am I that I can ask for Your help and You respond with loving delight? Who am I that You saw fit to save me from my sins? I give You all of me, Jesus. A thousand times a day, I turn my heart away from worldly enticement and toward heavenly promise. My interior eyes have been transfixed by Your gentle compassion and warm love. Only You can thaw the cold-hearted tendencies of Your beloved. I reach for Your hand, Jesus, when I have lost my way. Show me the next step in the direction of Your will when I have become blinded by old habits. Wave Your banner over me, Lord, so that I might remember who I truly am. In infinite ways throughout the day, rekindle my love for You and rouse my passion for the Word of Truth. Make me Your vessel, Father. Equip me to pour out the tender affection which You have used to reshape me into Your likeness. Under the might and power of the Word in 2 Samuel 7:18-19 and the authority of Christ I pray.
