TITLE: The Storyteller
CATEGORY: Biblical Fiction
Andrew lived as a dutifully devoted son. His father was a fisherman who shared a passion for telling stories with his youngest son. When tragedy thrust the family in the middle of their own drama, Andrew would begin to sense the calling of divine mystery. Rumors drew him to the Jordan River where a strange preacher spoke of the Messiah.
Andrew spent his younger years devouring Scripture, hoping for the return of Israel’s true King. But the story was not unfolding according to expectations. When Andrew meets Yeshua, a Man designated ‘The Lamb of God,’ he is confronted with the erroneous filter of his own preconceived ideas. As he walks and learns from this controversial Rabbi, Andrew begins to see the Kingdom of heaven through the holy filter of parables spoken by the mouth of the Lord. Stories from his past mingle with the present in order to form an accurate understanding of what is to come.
How will Andrew be transformed as his own story is absorbed by a much grander narrative regarding the love of God? What will he do when the story God wrote for His people doesn’t match anything they expected? Will Andrew’s budding faith survive the plot twists and challenges presented as the Lord remakes him into a storyteller of the gospel?
This story is complete with questions at the end of the book for group discussion or personal bible study relating to each chapter.
