Today’s Prayer

Without Your nearness Lord, my heart shrivels with selfish intent. Without Your perpetual counsel, my mind is easily deceived by worldly influence. Jesus, Your love has offered my heart expansion into eternal perspective. Your hope has brought clarity to every thought. Let Your Holy Spirit reign with majestic influence over every aspect of life that offers me a chance to reflect You. Make my prayers, even those that have no words, waft up to Your throne room as heavenly incense, a pleasing aroma of devotion to You. Only You can turn my mourning into dancing and my trials into fruitful lessons. Capture every thought in Your loving embrace until holiness becomes a way of life for Your servant. In physical challenges, Lord, be my strength. Prevent the distraction of pain from giving the enemy a foothold in my life. In the storms of fear and doubt, remind me of the truth, Lord. Pull me to Yourself, Jesus, until I fully abide, remembering who I am in You. It is the freedom of salvation that offers the sweetest comfort to my soul. Yoke me to Your everlasting love. For Your burden is easy. My soul truly finds rest from the internal warring when I am enveloped by love. In the power of that faith let me perpetually serve You, Lord Almighty. Under the Word given in Psalm 30:11-12 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
    You have loosed my sackcloth
    and clothed me with gladness,
that my glory may sing Your praise and not be silent.
    O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever!
Psalm 30:11-12, ESV
