Lord, I echo the sentiments of Your original disciples – Increase my faith! The encroaching snare of deceit has cloaked itself within the pressing culture of this world, snuffing out the oxygen of Your truth. How the enemy twists what You have said Lord, just as he has done since the beginning. Infuse my faith with quickened discernment so that I do not find myself led astray with no idea how to get back within the boundaries of true, divine love. Undergird my faith with the powerful nearness of Your Spirit, Lord, until I can taste and see Your goodness despite the calamity that swirls as a tempest all around me. Permeate my faith with hope until the sweet fragrance of Your saving grace follows me wherever I am sent. Jesus, only You can remove the film of earthly concern that perpetually distorts my sight. Grant me the ability to see from heaven’s perspective with faithful sight that allows me to forgive and to love. Make the ears of my soul listen through the cacophony of this world’s loud protests until I hear the whisper of Your guidance and encouragement. Grant me a hearing faith attuned to truth and empowered by Your Holy Word to speak it through actions reflective of my Savior’s love. Truly, Lord, make me Your vessel. Increase my faith by pouring more of Yourself into me as I empty myself to You. Under the Word of truth found in Luke 17:5-6 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in prayer.
