Today’s Prayer

The beauty of my hope rests securely in You, my Lord and King. In the confidence of saving grace, You came and You called. Let those who have ears hear Your voice and listen to truth. Father, You are my shield and my defense. It is a blessed privilege to bring my requests to You. It is an undeserved honor to be heard by Your heart. Within the refuge of Your mercy, I am preserved in holiness and innocence. The filter of the work completed on the cross covers my sin from the vision of my God. What more can my heart desire than You, Lord? Sow the seeds of righteousness within me until the fruit of a holy life glorifies Your Name. Cleanse my hands to do the work of the Kingdom, Jesus. Purify my heart to overflow with divine love not easily swayed by fear. At the beginning of each day, let me first seek Your will in each moment yet to pass. And at the close of the evening, let me reflect with confessional prayer all that was done and all that might have been missed. Forever I am thankful to leave my regrets with You so I can enter the instructional raft that prepares me for a new day. You are my Teacher. Grow me into Your likeness, Jesus. For in You I will live to love another day. Under the Word given in Psalm 62:1-2 and the authority of Christ Jesus I bow in prayer.

My soul rests in God alone.
    My salvation is from Him.
He alone is my rock, my salvation, and my fortress.
I will never be greatly shaken.
Psalm 62:1-2, WEB
