Though at times my steps seem unsure, Lord God, I desire to walk the path of faith. Help me keep in step with the Spirit, Lord. Let my hope in Christ be affectionately powered by godliness. Let devotion that is true and abiding be the fuel that fires up a holy life. What good is it, Lord Jesus, to have faith while forsaking holiness? What good is it to be forgiven if I fail to forgive? Jesus, You have destroyed the condemnation due me. Your display of awesome love upon the cross has cleansed me and reconciled me to my Creator. My faith in You is the essence of life. My soul finds refuge in the house of faith because it is built on the holy foundation of salvation. Lord, let me honor Your saving grace throughout my life. By Your Spirit I am animated when despondency tempts me. By Your presence I am encouraged when distress plagues me. Clinging to Your promises lifts me from the miry pit of selfishness so I can live an other-focused life to the glory of Your Name. You have set me upon the path of eternal life, Jesus. Guide me each day so that I may keep in step with the Spirit. Under the mighty Word of Galatians 5:25 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow my head in humble prayer.

If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
