Lord, let my fervent affections become fuel for my prayer offerings to You. With a willingness of spirit, I open my heart to Your love. To expose such vulnerability to anyone else would increase the potency of life’s pain. But with You, Jesus, my open heart can be safely mended. Take my confessions and cleanse my soul of guilt’s stain. Only Your grace can lift such stains from my inner being. Take my praise, Lord, and let it warm the chilly insecurities that keep me frozen in self-awareness. When my awareness is focused on You alone I remember that all things are possible. Take my petitions, Lord. Only You know the difference between what I want and what I need. Let me trust in Your answers and avoid any deceptive influence which leads me contrary to Your will. My Father in heaven, take all of me, Your servant, Your child, Your beloved. Lead me in the way everlasting though I live in a perishing world. Under the beautiful treasure of Your Holy Word in Matthew 6:31-33 and the authority of Christ I pray.
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
