Lord God Almighty, let my love to You be as it should. You are worthy, Lord, of so much more than my easily corrupted love. May Your servant dwell on the richness of Your majesty that powerfully influences the darkness by reigning over it in light. My heart gladly submits to the One whose authority is unquestionable and whose love is perfect. Let me think on these things so that my own love response of the soul is strengthened and lifted up. Your beauty is found in the Word. The Word became flesh and dwelled among us not only to prove Your love lavish but to rescue the rebellious. Father in heaven, Your grace is a treasure whose worth cannot be measured. Even my highest thoughts of my Savior fall short of the magnificent victory of the cross. I may never fully understand its cost to Your heart or its value to mine, but let me live by its powerful expression of love divine. For without the cross I would not live at all. May I delight to continually ponder Your greatness, God. Lift my thoughts higher so that my heart and soul may follow. Under the Word given and received in John 1:14 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
