Favor me with a glimpse of Your glory Lord, and that will be enough to lift my head above these present clouds. Speak words of love within my soul until my heart hastens to listen, Jesus. Any verbal description I offer is tame in comparison to the beauty and majesty of who You are. Any words I speak fall flat unless Your Spirit thickens them with truth. Father, illuminate my soul so that my eyes can see Your tremendous glory in the now. Let me search Your Word for revelation that will make me know You more. Come to Your beloved in power and overshadow my iniquity with Your mighty wings of grace. Sanctify the eyes of my heart with holiness until all carnal blindness is cured. Jesus, be my mirror so that I know what needs to be fixed within me. Quicken my heart with desire for a divine life that testifies to Your goodness. Educate my soul with heavenly taste that turns me away from the delights and enticements of this world. My heart is open to You, Jesus. Come in and make Your home here. Favor me with the treasure of Your indwelling Spirit, with a glimpse of Your eternal beauty. In the wonder and awe of the Word found in Exodus 33:18-20 and the authority of Christ I bow in blessed prayer.
Moses said, “Please show me Your glory.” And He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you My Name ‘The Lord.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. But,” He said, “you cannot see My face, for man shall not see Me and live.”
Exodus 33:18-20, ESV
Jesus, be my mirror so that I know what needs to be fixed within me. Quicken my heart with desire for a divine life that testifies to Your goodness–Amen!
