Great God Almighty, put a new song in my heart. Play my soul with the melody of truth and the strumming chords of love. Make my life like a harp which only You can play, Jesus. Your Word is my faithful anchor. I cling to You in every storm. Your compassion is my solace. It lifts me up out of the pit of despair. Fill every crevice of my soul with the majesty of Your love, Lord God. Blessed am I because You have chosen me to receive Your inheritance. You have opened blind eyes to see with eternal perspective. You have unstopped deaf ears to hear the subtle notes of divine love sung on the horizon of history. Though the world around me is fraught with deep sorrow that it does not recognize, let me be one of Your lights sojourning on this earth. Shine through me, Lord, in the transparency of deeply rooted devotion. Let Your plans stand firm forever. You are the composer of my soul’s new song. Under the beauty of the Word given in Psalm 100:1-3 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.
