Today’s Prayer

God Almighty, only You can accurately judge the secrets of my soul. By Your power and in Your Spirit, let me be ruled and governed beneath Your divine authority in both word and deed. I earnestly seek the purity of Your saving grace, Lord. Bridle my tongue until it no longer extends a malignant influence on those within hearing. Jesus, remove any false notions or selfish intent from that which my hands attempt to accomplish. Curtail my motivations, Lord, until they completely line up with divine purpose. I am far too easily distracted. I am prone to wander out from beneath Your authoritative banner of love, Jesus. But Your love pulls me back in. Your love is stronger than the pursuant death haunting me. I am forgetful, Lord. Remind me to seek You in the quiet places of secret fellowship where my soul’s hidden miseries can be brought to the light. Only You can dismantle the entrapping snares placed deep within me by the enemy of my soul. Root the weeds of lies believed and false realities agreed to. Your perspective is the only one I cling to Jesus. Your banner over me is my shield and covering. Have full reign in me, Lord, now and forevermore. Under the Word of holiness in Psalm 5:1-3, 8-9 & 7 and the authority of Christ Jesus, my Lord, I bow in prayer.

Listen to my words, Lord,
Consider my sighing.
Listen to the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God,

For to You I pray.
In the morning, Lord, You will hear my voice;
In the morning I will present my prayer to You and be on the watch.
Lord, lead me in Your righteousness because of my enemies;
Make Your way straight before me.
For there is nothing trustworthy in their mouth;
Their inward part is destruction itself.
Their throat is an open grave;
They flatter with their tongue.
But as for me, by Your abundant graciousness I will enter Your house,
At Your holy temple I will bow in reverence for You.
Psalm 5:1-3, 8-9 & 7, NASB
