Today’s Prayer

Lord, Your daily presence is my greatest treasure. Your nearness is the hope I lean into when all around me feels hopeless. When my heart becomes the target of the fiery darts of hell, the faith You have granted me becomes the shield that douses the flames. May my wayward thoughts turn once again to the cross until hope is bright and sparkling within my soul. Such a display of love radiates with divine authority that cures the infection of despair. When my soul is chilled by fear and anxiety, Lord Jesus, let me feel the warm flames of Your forgiveness until all hardness within me is thawed by divine grace. Your patience endures so much from me, and Your mercy is never exhausted. The only reason I can be victorious is because You have claimed me as Your own. If You are with me through the treacherous journey of life, I can walk in faithful confidence to the end of the path. During the most tempestuous storm I find refuge in Your promises. When the flood waters of affliction are particularly high, Your hand reaches out to me, pulling me up so I can walk on water with You. The only reason I do not perish is because You are with me. Fill my steps with gratitude this day, Lord. Since You are with me, let me remain with You. Under the mighty Word of the Lord set down in Matthew 28:20 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in prayer.

Observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
