Bring the flaming torch of Your love into the deepest recesses of my soul, Lord Jesus. Captivate the entirety of my heart with Your truth. In Your strength alone will my service be beneficial to the Kingdom. Let me not court the platitudes of humanity even if it means that my holy duty is lived out beneath the obscurity of an ordinary life. Hurl decorum and religiosity to the wind, Lord. Fill my heart with true worship until my soul devotion is enflamed by Your presence. I do not want to come to You half asleep with drooping hands and fluttering eyes. The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak, Lord. But Your love awakens me, stirs me to respond. Ignite my faith until I am set ablaze with love for none but You, Lord Jesus. And in this love let me seize every opportunity to love others in Your mighty Name. Under the strength of the Word given in Hebrews 12:28-29 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

Therefore, receiving a Kingdom that can’t be shaken, let’s have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.
