My sovereign Lord, I come before the altar in the blessed privilege and honor of prayer. Enfold me in the radiance of Your majestic presence. Infuse me with the peace that only Your love can bring to my tumultuous soul. In the stillness, tune my ears to truth. Pluck the strings of my heart with the melody of grace. Hush the sense of hurriedness that clamors, trying to distract me from You. You are my time-keeper and time set aside for You is far more valuable than time spent accomplishing worldly tasks which will never be finished. Magnify the treasure of time given me in a single day so that I can be a multiplier of Your love and grace in whatever You prioritize for me each day. Jesus, Your love transforms me. Your faithfulness assures me. Your grace catches me when I fall. I yield to Your creative work in and through me each day. Let me not resist the schedule You have set, even with those things I perceive as interruptions. Make me patient in the waiting, Lord. Make me efficient in the doing. Make me trustworthy in the accomplishing. Let every day, every moment, each breath bring You glory. Under the Word given and received in Colossians 3:23-24 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in adoring prayer before the throne of my God.

And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
