Lord God Almighty, bring to the forefront of my forgetful mind all the wonders of Your faithfulness expressed to me over the years. There is no mountain before me that You have not equipped me to climb. The clouds of gloomy anxiety have no place in this meadow of blessed remembrance. Once, when those fetters of insecurity were tightly wrapped around my wrists, You easily snapped them, setting me free by Words of encouragement. When I made the irreparable choices, You turned all things for my good despite the consequences of my actions. When I suffered from a failing body, You strengthened me. When I was weighted by a heavy heart, You comforted me with joy. When my spirit was restless, You gave me purpose. In my utter poverty Jesus, You made Yourself nothing so that I could be enriched. Every page in the book of my remembrance is filled with stories of Your heroic intervention. Whatever I now face is certainly not an exception but another opportunity for You to be the hero in my life saga. For on the mountain You provided everything I need. I only have to look for the provision You have so carefully placed in the thicket. So instead of fear Lord, fill my heart with grateful adoration, not only for what You have already done, but for what You will do. Under the Word of God in Genesis 22:13 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I set down my prayers in worship.

Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and saw that behind him was a ram caught in the thicket by his horns. Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering instead of his son.
