Lord God Almighty, my heart is tired with desire to behold the unfathomable beauty of who You are. Draw me into majesty unspeakable for just a glimpse as I petition You from my position of dust and ashes. My inquiry into the secret holiness of Your heart is sincere, Lord God. Yet I know that in my sinful state I dare not approach the purity of the light. You are light and in You there is no darkness at all. Thank You for sending me Your Son to show me the way and to shield me with grace. Your glory is ineffable Lord God, and Your love divine. Through Your Word I have been given hope so that I may yet know You no matter how unworthy I am to receive such an honor. Where would I be without the intercession of my Savior? Your divine guidance is more precious than all worldly jewels. To know You is far more valuable than gold. For when it all fades and the sky is rolled up like a scroll, only Your Word will remain, Lord God. Enlighten me with holy desire that is godly. Keep me enraptured by every glimpse of Your majesty I am privileged to see. Under the beauty of the Word given in 1 Chronicles 16:26-27 and the authority of Christ I bow in humble prayer.

For all the gods of the peoples are idols,
