Break my heart Lord, until every shattered fragment glimmers with the promise of heaven that is mine to claim in You. Turn me away from my wandering tendencies. Pull me into the fold of Your perfect love, Jesus. Kneeling before the cross, I find my deepest solace. Keep my hand securely in Yours because I need You to show me the way. Lord, the log in my eye is so big. Yet I continually distract myself from conviction by focusing on the speck in my neighbor’s heart. Let it not be so, Lord! Turn me around from the shadows I am chasing. Bring me to the light. Let me fall before Your glory and worship You alone. My life only matters because I mattered enough to You that You willingly went to the cross. Such a divine display of love must never be taken for granted. Truly, heaven’s Kingdom is near and by Your mercy I have been made a citizen. Turn me away from the worldly pursuits which have captivated my heart, Lord. With devotion I return to You. With love I worship You. With my life I glorify You. I hand over each piece of me, Lord God, keeping nothing back for myself. Do what you will for Your purpose and pleasure. I approach the throne of grace beneath the canopy of the Word in Philippians 3:20-21 and the authority of Christ Jesus, bowing in prayer.
For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of His glory, according to the working by which He is able even to subject all things to Himself.
