Today’s Prayer

Lord, You have richly blessed Your servant through such unmerited favor and divine grace as displayed on the cross. You deserve the deepest response and most holy adoration. Yet my heart has chilled to the excitement it once experienced. Adversity has clouded the expanse. Indifference has come on the heels of familiarity. Quicken my soul Lord, and pull away the curtain that eclipses my first love. I rejoiced in Your salvation once. Let it be a daily act of worship. Bring me through this wintry season of faith as Spring dawns again on the horizon of my hope in You Jesus. Quiet the thunders of selfish desire and erroneous thinking. There is no greater joy than knowing I have been reconciled to You, that my sins are made white, and that the Law has been satisfied by Your work on the cross. Such love displayed cannot draw a dispassionate response from those who truly believe. Shine Your light in my heart again, Lord. Let love blossom, releasing the fragrance of Christ. Let the Holy Spirit blow away the clouds marring my view of You. Return me to the first love that magnifies the holy Name of my God and King. And forever keep me in this season of blissful adoration. You are worthy, Lord. Under the mighty truth given in Revelation 2:3-5 and the authority of Christ, I humbly bow in prayer.

I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for My Name’s sake, and you have not grown weary. But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first.
