Lord God, You have promised treasure in the darkness. I come to You troubled and You offer me the comfort of Your sovereignty. The insurmountable mountain looms before me, but it is You who hears my cry in the valley. The depth of my soul has been carved out through affliction so it can be filled with Your divine comfort in love. Let me not fear the storm because in it Your consolation is my umbrella. Present troubles require my heart to dig deep, to seek You in devoted earnestness, and experience a new level of faith which could not have come any other way. Lord, fill the reservoir of my soul with hope despite my circumstances. Show me the light’s majestic beauty by contrasting it against the backdrop of affliction. At the end of my rope, I find Your hand holding mine. Thank You, Jesus, for Your firm grip that never lets go even when I am too weak to hold on. Increase my faith, Lord. Take me higher and breathe new life from the lofty peaks of the mountain I never thought I could scale. Grant me a beautiful new perspective from the summit of salvation, and let me never forget that Your feet have already tread the ground I walk on. Under the mighty Word of God in Job 6:10 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in adoring prayer.
Let it still be my consolation, yes, let me exult in pain that doesn’t spare, that I have not denied the words of the Holy One.
Job 6:10, WEB
