Lord, the love I offer You is wretchedly lacking compared to the love You have showered on me by way of the gospel. Your love drove You to die for me. Your love was strong enough to carry the burden of my sins. Your love is powerful enough to wash away the stains of my iniquity. There are days when I wish I could give You more than I am capable of. Still, You give me solace in the manifestation of grace that accepts my offering. As feeble as they might be, my expressions of love for You are never rejected by Your heart. Let the holiness of my life be as fragrant as the gifts of frankincense and myrrh given by the wise men. May the power of forgiveness permeate my actions and dealings with people in such a way that my reflection of You makes heaven glad. Instill a spirit of generosity in my heart so that those in need receive not only worldly sustenance but a glimpse of the gospel. May speaking truth in love while letting You use me as Your tool of salvation be a sweet aroma and offering acceptable in Your sight, Lord. To honor You, let me walk this earth carrying my cross and laying aside my personal rights. As I live in and through You, Jesus, may my love break open like the alabaster jar and pour its most precious contents out to the glory of Your Name and in the spirit of Your holy love. Under the mighty Word of God set down in Romans 5:9-10 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in adoring prayer.

Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we will be saved from God’s wrath through Him. For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by His life.
