Let my soul be fully open to receive the powerful light of Your grace, Lord Jesus. May the sweet influence of Your daily presence keep my heart open to the possibility of sharing Your amazing truth. Put precious seeds into my hands so that I can sow truth in a land of deception. Show me how to live, Lord Jesus, so that I am Your vessel and not my own advocate. I yield myself to Your purpose and plan. Like a flower needs sunlight and rain from the heavens, I need the light of Your truth and the water of Your grace. Both things which I cannot acquire on my own without Your intervening presence in my soul. Without You, Jesus, the clouds of selfishness hide me from the light. And like a flower, I shrivel and droop my head, close the cup of my heart, and fail to offer the fragrance given me. With intense delight, I would rather watch as Your mighty Spirit blows away such clouds. I am weak and unworthy without You, Jesus. My life is as fragile and fleeting as a flower in spring. But the fragrance it can bring when submitted to You has the power to overcome the stench of death. May I no longer indulge in a vain conceit of my abilities, but gladly serve You in my own weakness. For where I am weak, You are strong. Where I am less, You are more. Under the power of the Word in Isaiah 40:8 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in prayer.
