In power that is far beyond my capability to grasp, You have saved me, Jesus. Only You can finish the work that You began in my obscure life. Lord, help me resist the temptation to make something more of myself, to prove the worth of my spirituality. You are sufficient Lord, not me. May my flesh and this world not prevail. May sin not shadow the illumination You have brought to my soul by way of the cross. Without Your precious intercession and guidance Lord, my own ignorance and human folly would easily lead me astray. Only You can assist me in gleaning truth from what I read. Only You can grant me a filter of discernment that keeps me far from the claws of deception. Empower Your servant to be a truthful witness and an honest herald of Your Word. May the sacredness of Your love become a fragrance of Christ overpowering the stench of death in this world. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for refreshing my soul with delight to holiness. Let me live in the all-consuming joy of everlasting hope because I trust in the One my soul adores. Under the mighty and beautiful Word of God in Romans 8:33-34 and the authority of Christ I pray.

Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
