My Lord, expand the narrow confines of my heart until Your Spirit encompasses all of who I am. Bring to divine fullness my image-bearing potential for the glory of Your Name. Through the gentle influence of Your compassionate strength, mold everything that is misshapen within my soul. Let my heart not be broken by the heavy strokes of vengeance brought on by rebellious actions and a sinful disposition. Lean me back in Your direction, Lord. Cover my sin with Your righteousness, Jesus. Your love has abounded to me from the cross. My brokenness is mended beneath the holy counsel of Your presence. Let my mind’s capacity be stretched to the point of embracing truth that lives, moves, and has its way in me. Let the zealous flames of the gospel lick up the unholy offerings of a life without You, Jesus. Only You can deliver me from the tempter. Make my hands diligent to accomplish the assignments given me. Take my roots deep into Your love, Lord Jesus. Lift me out of my pits of depression and the mire of sorrow. Move me forward according to Your will, Jesus. Expand the narrow confines of this life until it opens up to the fullness of eternity. Under the mighty Word of God set down in Acts 17:28 and the authority of Christ I bow in prayer.
