Father, take my thoughts active to Your holiness. Rid me of the infection of worldly attitudes that barricade me from sensing Your nearness. Bring me to blistering conviction when I stray into the realm of ungodliness in my mind so that my actions do not lead me into enemy territory. Dwell in the heartbeat of my thoughts. Make my mind a holy sanctuary where the purity of Your majesty can bring life. For if You take my every thought beneath the rule of Your sovereignty, then my heart is sure to follow. Teach me the lyrics of a new song, that heavenly melody which turns my soul to lofty praise until my thinking is in rhythm with the truth: “Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty!” My Lord, inhabit the recesses of my mind. Take over all of my inclinations until I dwell upon the things of heaven, making the sanctuary of my thoughts a fit place for the King to dwell. Under the beauty of Your Word of truth in Isaiah 6:3 and the authority of Jesus I pray.
And one called to another and said:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of His glory!”
Isaiah 6:3, ESV
