Take the shadowy scepter with which I attempt to determine the course of my days out of my hands, Lord. Help me to lay upon Your altar every self-designed plan with which I attempt to conform to my own fantasy of Your will. Lift the veil which clouds my vision of Your sovereignty. I am a blind guide, Lord. I am unable to see when I put myself in front of the Light of the World. Jesus, make me bow in humble adoration until You are in front and I am following. You are the dispenser of my destiny. You are the One who knows the end as well as the beginning. In You, there is no fluctuation or change. May my feet not stray from the bloody footprints leading me to the cross. May my small and wandering footsteps of the heart be nestled within Your mighty ones on the road to Calvary. In a spirit of submissive adoration, let me worship You and become the holy vessel You designed me to be.  Under the direction of Your Word in Matthew 16:24 and the authority of my Savior Jesus Christ, I humbly pray.
