My Lord Jesus, You are altogether magnificent. You are the perfect One upon whom I have set my deepest adoration. Let my heart continually respond to the divine love with which You draw me to Yourself. Invite me to anoint You with intimate prayers of fragrant worship. I delight to humbly bend my knee in the shadow of the cross. You are the One who has finished the work of redemption. How beautiful are the scars You bore for me, Lord. Let Your Holy Words fall from Your lips into my heart until I am utterly transformed. Finish me, Jesus, as only Your Spirit is able to do. Your thoughts are precious to me and my soul desires Your pleasure. I am eternally charmed by Your grace. I am attracted daily to Your presence. Set Your love upon me as a seal covering my heart. Fasten me to Yourself so that I can imitate Your life and be infused with Your character. Let there be no blot or wrinkle or blemish upon me, for I am Your designated bride who has been made lovely through Your sacrifice on the cross. Lord, Your love is altogether beautiful and perfecting. Under the power of Your Word in Ephesians 5:25-27 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
Christ loved the church. He gave up His life for her
to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s Word.
He did this to present her to Himself as a glorious church
without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish.
Instead, she will be holy and without fault.
Ephesians 5:25-27, NLT
Let Your Holy Words fall from Your lips into my heart until I am utterly transformed. Finish me, Jesus, as only Your Spirit is able to do….I think this is so important, to welcome His sanctifying work in us!
