My Lord and King, Your servant sits at the table of Your presence to feast upon Your love. Only You can quiet the mysterious questions of my mind in chaos, Lord. Only You can satiate the loneliness of my heart. There is none in heaven besides You, Jesus, with whom my soul rests sweetly in satisfied hope. Truly, to be found abiding in Christ is my heart’s deepest desire. Let the entirety of my being be filled with Your Spirit, Lord, and I will be at peace. Let my imagination dwell on the good things You have planned and all fear is cast out by perfect love. Jesus, You are the lovely object of my every affection. You are the worthy recipient of my praise. In humble posture, let me take deep sips of the thirst-quenching power of holiness that diffuses the power of corruption within me. May every component of my life magnify the intensity and utter grace with which You have saved me. Under the precious Word of truth in John 4:13-14 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
