Today’s Prayer

Blessed Lord, whose light shines in the darkness so that Your beloved is not sucked into the void, I call out to You from a posture of prayer. Usher in the spring season of my soul where dormant trees can bear much fruit. Let the rays of the sunshine of grace thaw out my melancholic heart. May the sweet breeze of Your presence blow away my dull countenance. Jesus, radiate from within me until I open up to Your divine teaching like a lily receiving nutrients from the sun. Though my life is but a breath, a mere planting of a seasonal blossom, use it to spread everywhere the sweet fragrance of Christ. Lord, let Your love shine on me through Your beams of grace, a kiss of tender worship beneath Your celestial influence which reminds me to remain in the light as You are in the light. Under the truth of Your Word in Colossians 1:12 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer and adoration.

I pray that you will be giving thanks to the Father.
He has made it so you could share the good things given
to those who belong to Christ who are in the light.
Colossians 1:12, NLT
