Today’s Prayer

My God, I cry out to You in order that my mind might be uncluttered by the powerful indwelling of Your Holy Spirit. Unseal my heart’s eyes so that I can see the ravishing beauty radiating from the cross of Christ. In revelatory wisdom, show me how the thorn given me has been used to pin back the shroud which hid me from Your face. Death has truly lost its sting. The deep winds of Your Spirit have touched my soul, blowing the essence of my being in the direction of Christ-exulting, sin-destroying, all-surpassing joy in the presence of my God. For all things, no matter the pain they bring, are used for good when placed in Your hands, my God. Let me rejoice in the suffering that invites me into the depth of reflecting my Savior. Train my thoughts to dwell upon Your truth, Lord. Under the Word given in Romans 8:28 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him,
who have been called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28, NIV
