My King, liberate the splendor of Your glory within the confines of my life. Grant me sweet contentment to accept each role You have given me. Only You can stabilize my soul with awareness of Your constant presence. Only You can lead me by the hand into the depths of truth which will transform my heart when it is bereft of peace. For You know the toll that disillusionment has had on me. You know the wounds which fester inside, waiting to be triggered by life’s unexplained suffering. God, remind me that pain is turned to glory in Your hands. Hurt is molded into refinement when handed over to You. Grant me the power to release that which has its hold on me. Let me fall into Your arms, bound and shackled by my own weakness, because I know You can set me free, truly free. Jesus, I give You the consent of my wounded and protesting heart. Do what You must to make me whole again. Take me away from false comforts that lead only to an artificial, temporary sense of healing. Your Spirit’s diagnoses in truth is the only thing that will ever cure what ails my soul. So, I come to You, my Lord and Savior. Liberate the splendor of Your glory within me. Under the Word given in Isaiah 61:1 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor;
He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
Isaiah 61:1, ESV
Grant me sweet contentment to accept each role You have given me.–Amen!
