Today’s Prayer

I opened my eyes of faith and saw before me the glory of Your country. Though it was not what I had expected to see or feel. The way before me was vast and endless like the ocean – with beauty that took my breath away as every created thing pulsed with the light of purity. As I was stepping through stars I could feel the breath of Jesus in everything around me. How surprised I was that my body moved without substance, physical yet not weighted down by heaviness. With complete abandonment and freedom I could move through the deep blue of the sky all around me. O LORD, my God, what peace my heart felt to be home, home at last. Though time moved so slowly while I was in the world, yet in Your country, I knew it had only been a brief absence. Keep me from falling asleep in Spirit, O LORD. You have awakened my heart and soul to the hope of eternity. What joy I will feel when it all falls into place…when the unknown becomes known, when the unanswered questions are answered, when I look upon Your glorious face, when I am overtaken by love. Thank You for choosing me, my LORD. I am Your servant. Thank You for making me Your own. I am Your child. May the longing in my heart fuel the hope in my soul. Be near me, Jesus, because I cannot bear to be without You. May the journey end in glory as You usher me home. Under the authority of the Word in Ecclesiastes 3:11 and the Savior, Jesus Christ, I pray.

He has made everything beautiful in its time.
Also, He has put eternity into man’s heart,
yet so that he cannot find out what God has done
from the beginning to the end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11, ESV
