Lord, let my faith be birthed from the cross. Let my hope rest in You. Inspire my love to growth and service. In my distress, Lord God, my faith in You is comfort. In my confusion, my faith in You is the guidance that I need. When I lack understanding and direction, Your Spirit supports me through faith’s motivation. Father, let me hold fast to the treasure You have given me in Jesus. Let faith be the way of my death as much as it is the way of my life. Lord, I believe. Help me with the remnants of unbelief that taint my soul. Lord, I trust. Equip me to vanquish the pockets of insecurity that open up like pits within me. Only You can grant me courage because my strength comes from You. Only You can lift me out of the mire of deception with Your truth. Lord, let my faith become a finished testimony that glorifies the cross. Under the Word given in 1 Corinthians 1:18 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
