I set my eyes upon the Lord in whose hands my heart finds rest. With Your Spirit, Lord, I can sing: ‘It is well with my soul.’ Jesus, You are never-changing, always with Your beloved. You are my sure foundation. Though billows of confusion create storms on the periphery of the indwelling peace You have given me, my soul clings to the rock that is higher. My affections are not stretched toward attachment to the decaying treasures of this world. Rather, my heart belongs to the One who abides faithfully within me. Father, construct the house of my soul with Your skillful carpenter’s hands, so that my foundation is not laid upon the quick sand of worldly deceit. Only in You is my soul immovable. Only in You is victory assured. My Lord and Savior, I set my sight on the treasures awaiting me in heaven, for that is where You are. Where You are is where I belong. Under the authority of the Word in Matthew 7:24-25 and in the Name of Christ, I humbly pray.
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them
will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.”
Matthew 7:24-25, ESV
