Today’s Prayer

I lift my prayers as incense from my heart’s depths, Lord God Almighty. Let the vaporous petitions reach Your throne-room of grace. Every breath I take is Yours to give, Jesus. Every step that moves me is Yours to guide. I delight in the eternal embrace that has bonded me with Your Spirit. Help me to live worthy of the calling. Imprint Your image over my being so that all I do brings glory to Your Name. Hold me to the flame that refines. Mold me with the pressure divine. For I am clay in Your mighty hands. Keep me from resisting all You have to give me of Yourself. Lord Jesus, I adore You for the patience with which You wooed me to Your Kingdom. I lament the folly of my heart which kept me from Your truth. Thank You for seeing through my corruption in order to spark the flame of faith within me. May the gratitude of my heart spill over into praise and worship. Let all selfish desire vanish like smoke beneath the mighty breeze of the Holy Spirit as He cleanses the landscape of my soul. May the destiny of my soul keep me filled with hope that imparts joy to those who come in contact with Your servant. Under the mighty power of Your Word in Romans 8:29-30 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I humbly pray in adoration.

God knew from the beginning who would put their trust in Him.
So He chose them and made them to be like His Son.
Christ was first and all those who belong to God are His brothers.
He called to Himself also those He chose.
Those He called, He made right with Himself.
Then He shared His shining-greatness with those He made right with Himself.
Romans 8:29-30, NLV
