Steep my heart in Your Word, Lord God. Let me savor the sweetness of Your presence. My soul is truly fed and nourished by the mighty truth of Your love as poured out over every page of scripture. Satisfy my hunger as only You can do, Jesus. My parched soul thirsts for You and only You, Lord. May the power of abiding faith be the pervasive influence defining my daily moments. Do not let me become distracted by intruding thoughts or subversive actions. Keep me from living contrary to Your Word, Father. Jesus, Your divine handiwork reigns supremely over all opposition. Keep me from being taken in by worldly counterfeits. Jesus, the permeating attraction of the cross has wooed and won my heart, altering my perspective from this deceitful earth to the radiant spheres of heaven’s glorious celestial heights. Absorb me with Your presence God until my enthusiastic love for Christ surmounts all difficulties. My devotion to You, Jesus, is the master passion of my soul. Under the blessed Word given in Psalm 107:2-6 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in humble prayer.
