Oh my Lord, with sacred jealousy Your Spirit has made me fully aware of my heart’s unworthy contents. Lead me in holy revenge to battle against that which would separate me from You. I have too long remained blind to the infirmity bleeding my soul. Your beloved is in need of Your healing. Be with me until the end just as You have promised. I adore Your faithfulness. I praise the grace with which You have destined me to overcome the obstacles between us. Because of You Jesus, victory in the crusade against my inward lusts is assured. What mercy is this that allows me to triumph over the darkness by ushering in the true Light? Lord, grant me the discovery of the depths of Your heart. Steady my eyes of faith until they firmly fix on You. Let me abhor all unholy distractions because You are enough. You have spared and pardoned with love’s mighty power. May my life be lived in worshipful response as I repent in dust and ashes only to emerge cleansed and pure in Christ my Savior. Under the beauty of the Word in Deuteronomy 4:23-24 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

Take care, lest you forget the covenant of the Lord your God, which He made with you,
and make a carved image, the form of anything that the Lord your God has forbidden you. For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
