Today’s Prayer

Be my mighty Warrior, O God, my King. For the battle wages on and I find myself too weary to fight. My hope has been stolen and my heart has grown limp as the enemy finds new ways to distract me from You. Though my soul is trampled, I will yet cling to the hope I have in You. Jesus, I know that You will rescue me out of this pit. I know that Your mighty hand will draw me near and hold me tight. I know that You will rescue me from the arrows of deceit and the plague of darkness. For You are my God, my hiding place and my shield. Through the storm I will yet rejoice because Your love shelters me. Through the darkness I will find the light because Your Word guides me. O my soul, be freed from Your mourning; for God will not let the enemy oppress you! O my heart, be freed from the chains that bind you; for Jesus has come to break every chain! Send me Your light, O LORD my God, that my faith would increase. Lead me to sweet fellowship with You so that our joy may be complete. I bow before Your altar O LORD in humble adoration because of who You are to us, because of what You have done for Your loved ones. I will praise You with my heart and magnify You in my soul as I dwell in the midst of Your glory. Let me meditate on Your faithfulness so that I am drawn ever closer to You. O my soul, why so heavy and burdened? Victory belongs to the LORD’s beloved and I will yet choose to follow Him. Under the Word of truth in 1 Corinthians 15:56-58 and the authority of Christ Jesus I bow in prayer.

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law;  but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be firm, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:56-58, NASB
