Today’s Prayer

O LORD, my God, how my heart adores You above all else in life. For there is none that can have Your place of authority over me. I will speak of how You saved me. I will testify how You rescued me from the jaws of the enemy. I will make known how You plucked me from the pit of darkness. My soul can rest in joy because You have been the solid ground on which I can stand when the world is crashing down around me. I have no claim over the victory in my life because it is Your grace, only Your grace, that has been my refuge. For You, O God, sit enthroned above the earth. For You are King over Your faithful ones. Those who follow the unsteady ways of the world end up empty. But those who put their trust in the LORD will be filled to overflowing and made steady on the solid foundation of His truth. For it is the LORD who determines the value of a life. It is Him that waters the faith in one’s heart and makes it grow. Even when we have fallen apart, been destroyed by our own sinfulness and left with burns and bruises, the LORD is there to pick us up out of the ashes. He sets the feet of His loved ones on solid ground. The LORD our God restores, renews, and redeems the lives of His beloved. Under His protection our every step is guarded and guided. The enemy shall not prevail. For the LORD is the righteous judge who gives strength and pardon to those who belong to His Son. In His word our lives can be fixed on solid truth that steadies the fluctuations of our heart. O Jesus, how my heart adores You, for You are my one desire, my One King, the keeper of my soul. You are my solid ground. Under the Word of the Lord in Psalm 13:5-6 and the authority of Christ Jesus I humbly pray.

But I trust in Your unfailing love.
I will rejoice because You have rescued me.
I will sing to the Lord
because He is good to me.
Psalm 13:5-6, NLT
