My Lord in heaven, grant me the steadfast sight of faith that only comes through the filter of Your Holy Spirit. Let me view the calamities of life from a Kingdom perspective. This world is fraught with shadowy enticements and dark illusions. Jesus, You are the shadow-chaser, the light that engulfs the darkness until it threatens no more. Father God, take hold of my created being. Anoint my mouth as a vessel of Your truth. Propel my feet to go where You send me. Unstop my ears to hear the truth put forth in Your Word. Increase the power of the gifts You have bestowed upon Your servant. Let me employ them for the sole purpose of glorifying Your Name. Despite all You have given me Lord, I am still in need. Grant me patience to deal with my mis-steps and shortcomings in a way that inspires me with grace toward others. Make my affections holy, Lord God, so that I am not tempted by ghostly desires from my past. Truly, I strive for contentment that will put my inquiring mind at rest in troubled seasons. Let my life be guided in this beautiful grace. Your favor is my delight Jesus. Your glory is my goal. May the inheritance granted to me in You become my legacy. Under the Word of the Lord in John 14:23-24 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.
