Today’s Prayer

When my heart is unsettled, it is Your calming voice that I seek. Who am I, Lord God, that You would bother to soothe me with divine compassion? May I never take for granted Your personal visitation through Your Son or Your invaluable gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Your holy lips whispered salvation into the ears of dying saints whose names Your mighty hand penned into the book of life. With the ink of grace, Your fingertips marked my name on those eternal pages before You marked me with the power of Your Holy Spirit. When my soul cried out for reconciliation, You answered. When I was lost in darkness, Your light showed me the way. Lord, Your affectionate attention is my refuge and safe haven when loneliness convinces me I have no value. You bring truth to my deceived heart, Jesus. You dry my tears, heal my wounds, calm my storms and rescue me from peril. Lord God, Your intimate concern reminds me of the holiness of Your love. Only when I come and sit at Your feet is my heart settled within me. How privileged am I to have such an invitation. Under the beauty of the Word in Psalm 103:12-14 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in adoring prayer.

As far as the east is from the west,
so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Like a father has compassion on his children,
so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear Him.
For He knows how we are made.
He remembers that we are dust.
Psalm 103:12-14, WEB
