Lord, grant Your servant a believing heart. Fill my soul with immovable faith that can move mountains. Make me steadfast in my petitions even if they do not appear to have answers right away. With expectant hope may I bow before You in love with heart requests always in line with Your glory. Animate every plea with the fervency of relentless love that seeks Your presence more than Your responses to my desires. When I am out of line, correct my wishes, Lord. When my petitions are delayed, let me not be crushed by disappointment that causes injury. Deepen my groans and make the sighing of my soul more vehement if it is to Your glory that I persist in prayer on this course, Lord. Teach me the value of waiting on You, relying on You. In that space between, may my heart search itself in a manner that leads to spiritual insight and cleansing. Deal a deadly blow to any lingering corruptive motivations Lord; and cleanse the purity of my thoughts and desires until they are in line with Your will and purposed toward Your glory. Under the mighty Word of truth found in Psalm 42:7-8 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in prayer.
