It is with the utmost reverence that I come to You, my Lord and Savior. My needs are ever before You while my desires blind me to what they truly are. How precious is Your wisdom and knowledge of the intricacies of my heart. I delight in knowing that I am Your creation, God. For there are days when I feel like a mystery to myself. Days when unidentifiable emotions trigger me toward old habits and toxic patterns of thinking. What solace I have found that I can come to You, the One who owns the blueprint to my soul. Only You can put back the loose wires and fix the rusty hinges of my personality. Only You can remind me who I am in You and what it is that truly matters now. In the storm of anxious thoughts, Jesus, You are my calm. When all feels lost, it is You who gets me to shore. Thank You for loving me enough, Lord, not to leave me as I was but to keep making me into who I am destined to be. As each day unfolds, let me seek shelter in the Word You have given. Let me curl up in the soft cocoon of Your holy promises. Let me sip the hope of eternity until my thirsty soul is quenched and my parched heart is satiated. May a garden of peace and serenity draw me toward Your perpetual presence, Lord God, even as I move through tumultuous days. I stay reverently before You, Lord, living for Your glory. Under the mighty Word presented in Matthew 11:28 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.
Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28, NIV
