Lord, my thirsty heart is eager to drink from the well of salvation. My dry bones need to be washed in the fountain of redemption. Jesus, bring Your life to power within me. Only You can turn the barren lands into a mighty harvest. Your Word is refreshment. Your truth revitalizes. Let me hold fast to Your promises when I feel as if I can’t grab hold of anything meaningful at all. My blessed Savior, life’s unexpected twists often disorient my soul. But You are my true north, Jesus. The uneven terrain of daily demands often make me feel as if I am falling behind. But You are my leader, Jesus. You are the One that I follow. You steady me and lift me up. So I will chase these fears away in the power of Your Spirit. I may become dried out at times, but You will not let me become brittle. Jesus, my Living Water, I thank You for quenching my thirsty soul and for making these dry bones live again. Under the mighty truth of Your Word in Psalm 77:1-3, 11-12 and the authority of Christ Jesus I pray.
I cry aloud to God,
aloud to God, and He will hear me.
In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord;
in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying;
my soul refuses to be comforted.
When I remember God, I moan;
when I meditate, my spirit faints.
I will remember the deeds of the Lord;
yes, I will remember Your wonders of old.
I will ponder all Your work,
and meditate on Your mighty deeds.
Psalm 77:1-3, 11-12 ESV
