Your love Lord doesn’t leave or forsake me. Though the valley of the unknown stretches precariously before me, Your staff is my guide. Your Word is my sustenance. Take me through, Jesus, according to Your will. For I cling to the power of divine love while I wander this wilderness season. With Hagar I can say that my Lord sees me. Let such truth be my solace in hard times. You were there at the head of the boat sleeping while Your disciples faced the threat of a storm. You rebuked the elements to calm their fears even though they didn’t need to be afraid because You were in the storm with them. May this be a reminder to me today. You are with me in storms. Your love is found in the roughest waters to increase my trust in Your presence. Just as you were with Daniel’s companions in the fire, You are also with me in adversity. Do not let me forget, Lord, that Your presence is a greater treasure then relief. Even when the heart is tangled up, grant me strength not to bow down to any idol. Open my heart to feel Your nearness in the wilderness, in the storm and in the fire, Jesus. I rest assured because You see me no matter where I am. Under the mighty Word of truth in Genesis 16:13 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in prayer.
So she called the Name of the Lord who spoke to her, “You are a God of seeing,” for she said, “Truly here I have seen Him who looks after me.”
Genesis 16:13, ESV
