My Lord and Savior, how lost and hopeless am I without You! Left to my own devices I am completely undone. Jesus, You have enamored me with Your benevolent glory, Your unending fullness and inscrutable excellence. The Good News of salvation is the sweetest melody that serenades my heart with joy eternal. Chords of good tidings of peace and promise and righteousness awaken my drowsy soul with as much comfort as a lullaby shushing a child to rest. Lord Jesus, I am utterly charmed by Your voice of grace that snaps the shackles of binding sins. Only You can draw my deepest affections higher than carnal mindedness allows. Your voice is my beacon and my trumpet call. Let my heart distinguish it from the enemy who connives and schemes against Your beloved. Your presence has invited me to taste of deeply spiritual things. Your nearness whets my appetite for the eternal. How could I not share such nourishment with others when You have so freely given it to one as unworthy as myself? Your Word is honey dripping off the spoon of heaven covering the bitterness of my own selfish being. Even Your shadow in its holiness cultivates the dormant seeds within me. Lord, I savor all things pertaining to Your will and leading to Your glory. Truly You have drawn love out of my soul because You first planted it there. Jesus, I am enthralled in praise and worship for who You are. Lay hold of me in my vulnerable entirety and make me into Your likeness. Under the mighty Word of God in Titus 2:11-14 and the authority of Christ Jesus I humbly bow in prayer.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good deeds.
