Lord, when I am storm-weary and heavy-laden, it is You who renews my soul. Draw me to the well of salvation where I can drink from the sweet waters of heavenly assurance and gulp the hidden delights of truth nestled in Your beautiful display of love. Fill the core of my life with sap daily drawn from the marrow of Your Word. Only by abiding in the vine will I produce much fruit in keeping with Your Name. I cannot truly live, Lord God, without the sustaining comfort of Your love. Repair the damage to my soul brought on by these overwhelming circumstances, Jesus. Whisper tender reminders of Your promises so that apathy is chased back to the shadows and spiritual laziness loses its bite. Without Your constant replenishing, Lord God, the assaults of hell gain far too much ground. When the whirlwind is released, may the roots of my love be intertwined so tightly around the rock of my Savior’s grace that I cannot be moved. In the tempest, may my faith hold steady because You have anchored me beyond the veil. I will wait upon You in every storm, Lord, because You renew me. Under the mighty Word of God given in Isaiah 55:1-3 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in adoring prayer.
Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare.
Give ear and come to Me;
listen, that you may live.
Isaiah 55:1-3, ESV
